On December 14 and 15, at Ildsjel Studio (4 Carlaw Ave.), Spur Of The Moment Shakespeare will host a memorable red-carpet soiree, with tickets available on a sliding scale so all members of the Toronto theatre community can join us in ringing out another successful year.
The evening’s lineup of artists includes Stratford veterans Eli Ham* and Ash Knight*, indie festival veteran Chloe Payne (Fake Nerd Girl), Film/TV star Christopher Kelk* and indie Shakespeare theatre stars Melanie Leon and Felix Beauchamp (Caesar, Wolf Manor Theatre). Throughout the season, this unique combination of artists has shaken up Toronto’s definition of Shakespeare, while exploring the definition of healing through the works of the Bard.
The event will begin with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 7 p.m., with performances, featuring scenes from our 2017 program and tales of our experiences performing in hospitals, beginning at 8 pm. Red carpet photos will be available throughout the evening, with dancing to follow.
Close out the year with class in a semi-formal soiree fit for all.
