Shakespeare-On-The-Subway Project
July-August 2010
_
Our Mission:
Make Shakespeare Accessible to the public for the price of subway fare.
Impacts:
Countless TTC patrons saw Shakespeare for simply paying to go on the subway
Countless youth got to see classical text performed outside of an analytical atmosphere
9 emerging artists developed and shared their work with Toronto in a beneficial way for the community

Session 1: March-May 2011 (extended to June 2011)
Session 2: August-October 2011
Our Mission:
Bring Shakespeare to those who cannot physically attend the theatre
Impacts:
Over 2011 We visited 10 hospitals, 14 wards, 3 senior residences, 2 hospices, and 5 special events
More than 1000 audience members viewed our performance
We performed in over 150 private rooms
We reached out to multiple demographics including but not limited to the health and wellness sector, the youth sector, the education sector, the arts and culture sector, and the senior care sector
When it comes to witnessing Shakespeare, we removed some major physical barriers!
