The Spur-Of-The-Moment Shakespeare Collective is holding COMPANY AUDITIONS for the 2014 season. This season is inclusive to the upcoming Julius Caesar Project, starting at the 2014 Toronto Fringe Festival, and the Shakespeare-In-Hospitals Project, starting in the fall.
The JULIUS CAESAR PROJECT (JCP) promotes social engagement in women’s shelters and drop-ins throughout Toronto. Through the use of performance, workshop and discussion, the SOTMSC will explore the concept of reclaiming power alongside members of the Adelaide Resource Centre for Women and various communities of Toronto. This performance will begin with a showcase at the 2014 Toronto Fringe Festival.
The SHAKESPEARE-IN-HOSPITALS PROGRAM (SIH) provides performance opportunities to emerging artists while addressing physical, economic, and social barriers commonly encountered in the health care sector using classical text. The ensemble tours to select hospitals, senior residences, hospices and shelters across Toronto and the G.T.A.
